HRTC Resumes Bus Service From Delhi To Leh After Six Months

 The long awaited bus service from Delhi to Leh finally opens its gate to the people. An official stated that the summer bus service from New Delhi to Leh in Jammu and Kashmir finally reopened by the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) on Monday. He said, “We started plying the daily to and fro bus service between Delhi-Leh via Manali from Monday.”

Delhi to Leh Bus Service

The cost of the one way journey ticket from Delhi to Leh is Rs. 1365. The 33hours nonstop journey from Delhi to Leh covers 1050 km, which crosses four mountain passes. The bus service was discontinued for more than six months due to winter. The bus service will resume from 1st July. The service will provide buses on every alternative day which will board from Manali at 11am and reach Leh on the next evening.

Leh Bus Service

To avoid the risk of driving at night, the bus will take an overnight halt at Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti district and later will leave at 4 am of the next morning. The cost includes a night stay at Keylong along with dinner and breakfast. To make the halt more memorable, camping sites are set up at Keylong.
