In 1981, an Indian Army personnel raised the tricolor after braving the extreme weather conditions. Most of the brave soldiers of army sadly lose lives due to the inhabitable weather conditions in Siachen rather than fighting the enemies.

 

To honor and pay tribute to the brave soldiers, nine celebrities of India have come together for a new reality series produced by Eros Now called Salute Siachen. The series will be available for the viewers from the Army Day, i.e., on 15th January onwards. It consist of celebrities from different fields. Arjun Rampal, Rannvijay Singha, Arunoday Singh, Hasan Zaidi, Shlok Sharma, Sonnalli Seygall, Yuvraj Walmiki, Namratha Gujaran and RP Singh are the celebrities who will portray their journey of trekking from Siachen base camp to Kumar Post which is at a height of 15,632 ft.

One will get to see the struggle that celebrities experience on day-to-day basis and will  test one’s physical and mental limits. To ensure that the celebrities were well-equipped physically to go for the trek, they went through rigorous training. The trek begins in Leh to get them familiar with the weather conditions and it gets worse with every move. Through this show, it is great to virtually witness the hardship the army soldiers face to protect our lives.
