Shimla – This time the 13th edition of Hero Cycles MTB Himalaya, a mountain bike race, will witness more than 70 riders. It will kick-start from the end of this month. As said by the rally organizers.
HASTPA (Himalayan Adventure Sports and Tourism Promotion Association), from Shimla, will be organizing this race which is said to be the toughest across the globe. It will be held from 28th Sept to 7th Oct. Book Now : Manali Chandratal Cycle Expedition
After traversing a whooping distance of 650 kms, the rally will conclude in Dharamshala. The route is spread over eight stages with an elevation gain of 16,500 feet.
India’s first professional MTB team, Hero action team, will also be participating in this event.
There are five categories for the riders – men and women (18 to 39 years), team of two, Masters (39 to 49 years), Grandmasters (49 years plus)
“This year will see our highest ever international participation. In India, mountain biking is still in its incipient stages and we are thrilled to see so many young riders go all out,” Mohit Soon, President of HASTPA said.
