Starting Point - Sankari
DAY 1 : ARRIVAL DAY(DEHRADUN-BASE CAMP SANKRI). [210KM DRIVE] : Drive from Dehradun to Sankri/Saur (1920mt) through the Yamuna and Tons valleys across the Yamuna bridge and eye pleasing view of beautiful dense pine forests. Trekkers will reach Sankri in the evening, which is the best time to look out for the sun setting behind the mountain ranges. Sankri base camp gives a beautiful view of all the four peaks in swargarohini range. Overnight camping in sankri under the clear sky covered with millions of stars. Participants are expected to arrive at Sankri base camp on their own with an additional cost. TrekUp will arrange for taxi to sankri base camp from dehradun.
DAY 2 : SANKRI-TALUKA. [10KM DRIVE] TALUKA-SEEMA.[14KM TREK] : Early morning drive from Sankri to Taluka through dense forests and water streams gushing down the roads.Taluka is a small village with traditional house structures and a few dhaba corners serving simple yet delicious food. Trekkers will be given some rest and the trek will start from Taluka. This 14km trek has everything in it, as the trekkers will walk on rocky surfaces, traditional wooden bridges and green trials with supin river flowing on the left side. One can notice the presence of different animals and birds as well. The great thing about this trek is, that trekkers will get many spots with fresh drinking water streams. The trekkers will reach Seema via Gangar village in the evening. The trekkers will camp on a small green field just before seema.
DAY 3 : SEEMA-HAR-KI-DOON.[12KM TREK] : Today is a long day for trekkers as they will be covering 12km and will be a much steeper ascent. This trail will give some beautiful views of snow capped mountains, waterfalls, meadows, flora and fauna. There will be many wooden bridges that the trekkers will be crossing. The trekkers will get the view of whole har-ki-doon valley during the later part of the trail and they will reach har-ki-doon valley by the evening. The camp will be set at the base of har-ki-doon peak. One can notice swargarohini, hata and other Himalayan peaks in the background with har-ki-doon and ruinsara rivers flowing on both sides.
DAY 4 : STAY AT HAR-KI-DOON. : Explore the beauty of har-ki-doon valley with breathtaking views of swargarohini range, jumdhar glacier and great variety of flora and fauna. Beware of snow leoperds. One can either stay at har-ki-doon camp or can trek towards beautiful morinda lake. Har-ki-doon is a treat for Himalayan photographers as it gives you some amazing views of mountains, glaciers, rivers, meadows and much more.
DAY 5 : HAR-KI-DOON-SEEMA.[12KM TREK] : The har-ki-doon valley is such an amazing place, that trekkers find it difficult to pull themselves out of the valley. Trekkers will be descending early morning towards Seema after having breakfast. After reaching seema, the trekkers will camp there.
DAY 6 : SEEMA-TALUKA. [14KM TREK] TALUKA-SANKRI BASE CAMP.[10KM DRIVE] : Trek for the last time from Seema to Taluka through dense forests. The trekkers will reach taluka bu afternoon and will drive towards sankri base camp on same day. Day 6 will be the last day for camping and the trekkers will stay at sankri.
DAY 7 : DEPARTURE FROM SANKRI TO DEHRADUN : Board a bus or taxi from Sankri to Dehradun early morning.
