The Big Five comprising the Tiger, Lion, Rhinoceros, Asiatic elephants & Leopards is the main theme of this India Big Five Wildlife Holiday. This is a complicated but rewarding itinerary for the nature and wildlife enthusiasts. For detailed itinerary and prices, please contact us. Day 1, 2, 3: Kaziranga.
Arrive at Guwahati around mid day. Drive to Kaziranga. There are morning and afternoon jeep safaris in different ranges of the park. There will also be an early morning elephant safari. Overnight stay at a Resort.
Day 4: Delhi
Drive Kaziranga to Guwahati. Breakfast and lunch. Fly to Delhi. Transfer to hotel / homestay for overnight stay.
Day 5, 6, 7: Bandavgarh
Fly Jabalpur & on arrival transfer to Bahandavgarh. Covering 448 sq. km. this is a compact, yet full of wildlife. The density of the tiger population at Bandhavgarh is the highest known in India. Overnight at wildlife Lodge.
Day 8, 9: Kanha NP
Drive to Kisli (5 Hrs).In the afternoon you could go for a jeep safari. The Kanha National Park, part of Project Tiger, was created on 1 June 1955. It stretches over an area of 940 km². Together with a surrounding buffer zone of 1009 km² and the neighbouring 110 km² Pench Sanctuary it forms the Kanha Tiger Reserve. Overnight in wildlife lodge.
Day 10: Kanha – Nagpur – Ahmedabad
Transfer to Nagpur. Board the flight to Ahmedabad. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 11, 12, 13: Gir National Park
Transfer to the Gir National Park. Gir National Park ,is the only place in the World, outside Africa, where the lion can be seen in its natural habitat.
Day 14: Ahmedabad - Bangalore
We spend the morning in the park. Transfer back to Ahmedabad & in the evening fly into Bangalore. Overnight a hotel/ guest house.
Day 15, 16, 17 – Nagarhole
The Nagarhole National Park is nestled away in the Nilgiri Biosphere reserve & one of the best places for sighting Asiatic elephants, leopards and sloth bears. Go on jeep safaris and boat rides for wildlife sightings. Stay at a forest lodge.
Day 18: Depart
Transfer to Bangalore for flight home.
Visa
Visitors to India must obtain a Visa before departure. You can consult the nearest Indian Embassy/ High Commission/ Consular Office for the same.
Accomodation
Most of your time you will be spent in forest areas and taking part in controlled adventure activities like walking and wildlife safaris. The accommodation is carefully chosen so that they are eco-friendly.
Food
Most meals are included.
Climate
The weather is tropical and warm except in December and January when it would be cold. Hence woolens are recommended. Monsoons months are July to August.
Transportation
Transportation including airport transfers are included in the cost. Jeep safaris/ elphant rides are also included in the cost.
Naturalists Guide
Naturalist guide will be available at the parks during safaris.
First Aid
Our guides have been adequately trained in first aid and always carry a comprehensive first-aid kit. In case of any medical emergency we have facilities to transfer you to the nearest hospital immediately.
