To flourish adventure sports of Meghalaya with tourism, a motor sport event was organized in the Tura state. The event initiated by the Tura Motor Sports was held to promote the motor sport and tourism in the beauty of Meghalaya.

Along with the stunning scenic beauty, Meghalaya also offers trekking, motor and water sports, caving for the adventurers.  And thus to promote the adventure, the motor sport event was organized to give a platform to the local amateur drivers. To showcase their talent, participants from different parts of Northeast and also other parts of India had gathered for this event.

Amanpreet Ahuluwalia, a national driver and former national champion also participated in this two day event and also won the first position in motor racing competition. Sharing his experience, he stated, "Event was really great and it is my first time. Tura Motor Sports have organized it really well. Garo hills is amazing, especially the people and their culture. We would love to come again. I will explore more of Tura.”

Hill climb and sprint in SUV being two exciting on tracks events were the highlight for the locals of Meghalaya and outsiders. With the sole aim to promote the adventure sport of Meghalaya, the motor sport event was a successful one with participates all around the country.
