This is a multiactivity adventure for those in search of an active short holiday in Kerala & for those who enjoy the flavour of rural Kerala. The highlights of the tour are the back roads cycling, staying at a working farm in a village and the thrill of kayaking through the tropical maze of the backwaters waterways of Kerala!

Day 1: Thattekkad

You will start the rural cycling from the busy city of Kochi to the quiet environs of the lowland forests at Thattekkad. As you ride through the countryside rural Kerala welcomes you through its rice fields, spice plantations and numerous rivulets of the Periyar River. You will arrive at the Hornbill camp located on the banks of the river Periyar. You can also take a walk around the plantation areas that surround the camp or go kayaking through the river in the company of your guide.

Day 2: Thodupuzha

Today you will be discovering more of the rural Kerala as you cycle through the sylvan Keralan countryside towards the trading town of Thodupuzha located at the foothills of the Western Ghats. Here the countryside is a mix of rubber plantations and spice growing villages. The ride would take you to the farm villa which grows spices and ayurveda plants. This is an ideal place to relax with an ayurveda massage, to read a book at the river side or take a walk through the village.

Day 3: Alleppey

Today you will transfer to the backwaters to start your backwater kayaking near the town of Alleppey. This is a journey of discovery of the lives of the people that dwell along the meandering backwaters rivers, lagoons and lakes that make up the legendary backwaters of Kerala. The food is kuttanadan style and spiced up to treat you with its own sea food specialities.

Day 4: Pulincunnu

Another day of paddling will take you to another part of the backwaters with heritage villas that dot the landscape, a reminder of the halcyon days of the great agricultural traditions of the people who live here.

Day 5: Depart
