Drive through the famed Periyar Tiger Reserve on open jeeps and trek through the evergreen rain forest at Gavi. Get an opportunity to sight the endemic Lion Tailed Macaque or the Malabar Giant Squirrel.

Your starting point will be at Periyar. The Periyar Tiger Reserve is home to rare, endemic and endangered flora and fauna. This is the home range of the rare and endangered Lion Tailed Macaque, and also an excellent spot for birds & rare butterflies, as well as large herds of elephants and gaurs. You will start your adventure with a jeep safari into the forests at Gavi, within the Periyar Tiger Reserve. On reaching the destination, breakfast will be served and afterwards you will head out for a trek. The trek path will be through thick tropical rainforests where there are good chances of spotting wildlife. After the trek, you will be transferred back to Periyar on jeeps.
