Bhutan – The Land Of Thunder Dragons

Bhutan is one of the most beautiful countries located within the Himalayas and is well known for its remarkably diverse climates and ecosystems. The land is also famous for the violent and large thunderstorms that rage through its valleys, giving the country the name of Bhutan the land of Thunder Dragons. Known locally by the name of the Durk, the thunder dragon is a mythological figure and national symbol of Bhutan. It is due to aspects like this that the country holds a mysterious appeal amongst the visitors from across the globe.
