Mayali Pass Trek
Itinerary
DAY 1: Guttu- Reeh (10Kms/4-5 Hrs)
Reporting time is 4 AM at Dehradun bus station. From here drive to Ghuttu. Reach Ghuttu by afternoon. Start trek from Ghuttu. Initially you walk on the dirt road. If the sun is up it could become very hot. Try to cover this part in the early morning hours. Afterwards you walk in the forest uptp Reeh. Initially the trail is mostly parallel along the river and later it’s a climb through the pine forest. Enroute you will see Rhododendron and bamboo trees. Pitch camps in Reeh. Ovenight stay in camps.
DAY 2: Reeh-Gangi (12 Kms/4-5 Hrs)
Start from Reehi after breakfast. Today's target is to reach Gangi. Gangi is a remote village of strong cultural heritage. Today's trek is mostly gentle climb with slight steepness in the last few kilometers.
DAY 3: Gangi-Kharsoli(15 Kms/6-7 Hrs)
Intially there is some stretch where landslides are common. Be careful while crossing this section. A short climb from here & you reach Kalyani. Kalyani is a plane ground. Reach Kharsoli by late after noon. Kharsoli can be identified by a Nallah confluencing with Bhilanganga river. Camp in Kharsoli.
DAY 4: Kharsoli-Chowki(12 Kms/5-6 Hrs)
Start from Kharsoli and reach Chowki Campsite. It is a lovely green meadow surrounded by snow clad crest. Today' camps are by the side of Doodh Ganga River on south side of the glacier which is sloping down on one side. This is known as Khatling Glacier.
DAY 5: Rest/Acclamatization
We are already at 4000 M. Today is acclamatisation day as the altitude gain will be significant on the coming days. During the day we can go to the khatling glacier & come back which is nearby from here.
DAY 6: Chowki - Masartaal (6.5 Kms/4-5 Hrs)
Start from Chowki & reach Masar tal. Masar Tal is a high altitude alpine lake and is super cold. Camp by the side of Masar tal.
DAY 7: Masartaal-Vasuki tal via & Mayali Pass(14 Kms/7-8 Hrs)
Start early today as the ice can become very slipperly if you start late. Today's the D day when you are face to face with “The Mayali Pass” at an altitude of 5300 meters. Today's trek is slightly technical . After crossing the Pass we reach another beautiful lake "Vasuki Tal".Camp near Vasuki Tal.
DAY 8 : Vasukital-Kedarnath (7Kms/3-4 Hrs)
Reach Kedarnath by early afternoon. Board vehicle waiting for us there. Reach Dehradun by evening. You can opt to stay in Dehradun or leave by night volvo bus for Delhi.

1.1.1. Cash Refund:
Cash refund is applicable only in case of bookings made without using any promotional offer code or vouchers. Also, the cash refunds would not be applicable in case of shifted batch bookings.
The Refund of the amount would be processed as per deduction guidelines outlined below:
- Cancellations up to 30 days prior to departure date - 5% deduction
- Between 30 days to 15 days prior to departure - 50% deduction
- Less than 15 days of departure - No Cash Refund
All cancellation refunds will be processed back to the bank account or the credit card account from which the event fee has been paid. The amount for refund processing would always be calculated basis the net amount paid* for booking the event w.r.t the Base Price of the event (excluding additional components like transport, rent, porterage, etc.).
Please note that in case of booking with a partial amount, the deduction amount would be calculated with respect to the overall event fees only. The amount would be adjusted from the partial amount deposited with Bikat Adventures to calculate the final refund amount.
For e.g. if one has booked Pin Parwati Pass trek with partial payment of INR 10,000 (supposing that the Expedition fee is INR 22,700) and cancels the booking 1 month prior to the date of departure, then the refund applicable would be: INR 4,325/- {INR 10,000– 25% * INR 22.7K}
1.1.2 Voucher Refund:
This option is available for all types of bookings including the bookings made under promotional offers.
Bikat Adventures would offer you a short term voucher that would enable you with a flexibility to book any other Bikat event using the voucher. The option of claiming a voucher is available till 5 days prior to the departure of the event. You can intimate us through an email on info@bikatadventures.com explaining your reason for postponement, and we shall send you a voucher worth the net amount paid* for booking the event w.r.t the Base Price of the event (excluding additional components like transport, rent, porterage, etc.). Validity of the voucher would be 3 months from the date of issue.
*Net Amount Paid would be the amount paid to Bikat Adventures at the time of booking after adjusting for all rebates provided by applying vouchers.
Please note that any additional transport bookings are completely non-refundable, be it cash or voucher refund. For e.g. If you have booked Manali – Leh Cycling expedition by paying a base price of INR 35,000 along with the transport from Delhi to Manali, then in case of postponement or cancellation, only the base price of INR 35,000 would be considered for calculations of refund as per the slabs defined above or for the matter of issuing a voucher (for postponement cases). The additional transport fee deposited is completely non-refundable.
