A mind relaxing trip begins high up the mountains, to the snow clad regions, followed by a small tea stall and then a blend of cafe’s to cheer you up with the urban city feeling. If you ever plan a trip to Triund and Snowline, then always begin from Mcleod-Ganj near to Dharamshala. In a way, you get to absorb the peace from Dharamshala and then climb up to Mcleod-Ganj to see the pot smoking culture as well as the colourful streets and temples. Later, lend a leg more to walking up to Triund, an uphill road as well as a famous trail where you get to meet a lot of people on your way. Finally, you reach the Snowline to camp in the small caves and experience the cool and oxygen oriented breeze.
Your trip begins from Mcleod-Ganj to Triund which is a four hour trek and so you cannot carry heavy stuffy up there. But, you will get lovely food at reasonable rates and can also book a tent on rent to enjoy the night stay staring up the sky. Trek to Triund and Snowline cafe is small way walk to a tea stall which is an hour away from Triund. Surrounded with attractive mountain ranges, beautiful lake ponds and warm caves with an interesting living experience. The overnight journey to Snowline becomes a bit slippery with heavy snow blocking your way for some time.
The trek also gives you a moment to visit the Lahesh caves as well as the Laka Got. On your way to Snowline cafe, when ascend reduces, you can observe a small hut. This cafe is the last one you can see before you make your way towards the bigger Himalayan Treks. If the weather and time permits you all can pep yourself up for small but exciting views towards the Himalayan flora, fauna and wildlife. The Triund trek cost depends on the package you select. You can opt for a package for 2 nights and 3 days from Triund to Snowline or other places with a variety of places to visit. So, roughly you can find trips ranging from Rs. 3500 to Rs. 10,000 depending on what package and place you wish to visit.

Day 01 - Mcleodganj to Triund, 2800 mtrs, 9 kms gradual trek.
The trek offer panoramic views Bhagsu village, Mcleodganj, Dharamsala valley and distant views of Shivalik hills and plains of Kangra valley. The trek is moderate nature. Triund is a large land of green grass and pasture like. One can see the mighty Dhauladhar ranges just above the eyes. This is the base camp and climatization point for trekkers climbing the Inderahara point in the Mt. Dhauladhar.
The day is in leisure to wander about in the Triund vast land. Night at Camp or forest guesthouse.
Day 2 - Early morning walk to Lahesh cave, 5 hrs max. Lahesh cave is a 3550m, a natural rock cave shelter. From lahesh cave to Chhatta Parao. This is the bottom of Inderahara pass passing through the soft snow and icy streams.
Back to Lahesh cave for the night halt in camp.
Day 3 - Back to Triund and back to Mcleodganj.
