Keoladeo National Park or Keoladeo Ghana National Park also known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary located in Bharatpur, Rajasthan is a world renowned bird sanctuary. It was declared as an Bird Sanctuary in 1956 whereas a National Park in 1982. The name Keoladeo is derived from the ancient Hindu temple of Lord Shiva and Ghana refers to the dense forest. The overall area of the park is about 29 sq.km
Over 230 species of birds are known to make Bharatpur their home!The major attractions are the migratory birds which come from as far as Siberia and Central Asia. Various species of Cranes, pelicans, Geese, Ducks, Eagles, Hawks, Shanks, Wagtails, Flycatchers, Pipits, Larks and the list goes on. Mammals like wild boar, Nilgai, Spotted deer, Mongoose etc are also seen.
Chambal Sanctuary also called as National Chambal Gharial Wildlife Sanctuary is 5400 sq.km of protected area specially for Critically endangered Gharial, Ganges river dolphin and the Red crowned roof turtles. The pristine Chambal river offers an super habitat for various flora and fauna.

Day 0 : Board train to Bharatpur. Overnight train journey.
Day 1 : Reach Mathura junction by 9.00am morning, transfer to resort. Check in, room allotments and freshen up. Ice-breaking session over lunch and post lunch leave for our first birding session at Bharatpur. Explore the beautiful wetland ecosystem and photograph some amazing migratory birds… watch the sun set over the marshy land of Bharatpur. Return to resort, dinner and rest. Overnight in Bharatpur. (L, D)
Day 2 : Early morning wake up and leave for Chambal National Sactuary. We will be spending the entire day in and around sanctuary. En route breakfast and explore the beautiful Chambal riverbanks and riverine ecosystem. Look out for Gharials, Otters, Turtles, Monitor lizards etc. Birds like Indian Skimmer, sarus crane, Pallas’s Fish eagles, Indian courser, Bar headed goose etc are seen. Photograph some of these beautiful fauna!! Post lunch another birding session. Watch the sun set over the mighty Chambal. Evening travel back to resort. Discussion about the day’s sightings and dinner. Overnight at the resort. (B, L, D)
Day 3 : Today we will explore Bharatpur. Early morning leave for our birding session. Hands on photography lessons and click some super images of the avifauna. Return to the resort for lunch and little rest. Post lunch leave for another wildlife session and explore more of what the Bharatpur Sanctuary has to offer. Evening back to resort , discussion session and dinner. Overnight at the resort. (B, L, D)
Day 4 : Early morning head out for our last session in Bharatpur! Make the most of the morning , the serenity of winter morning and warmth of the sun rising over the marshland. Enjoy the marvels of Bharatpur and click some more! Return to resort for lunch. Post lunch rest and check out. Drop to Mathura! Board overnight train to Mumbai. (B, L)
Next day reach Mumbai by morning!
