Camping in Dhanaulti and Kanatal (Near Mussoorie) is the most popular family and corporate weekend getaway from Delhi and NCR. Kanatal is situated at 8,400 ft. near Mussoorie at the distance of 310 Kms/8 hrs from Delhi/NCR, tucked away in the midst of deep forests of oaks. Set in the heart of the Indian Himalayas and surrounded by dense Pine, long wooded slopes of Deodar, Pine, Oak and Rhododendron forests. Camp Carnival at Kanatal is situated at 8,500ft high in the Hills, 15 Kms from Dhanaulti and 14 Kms from Chamba. The camp offers tranquility seems to be straight out of some romantic classic. The beautiful and picturesque 180 degree view of the snow clad Himalayas will fill you with a romantic charm. Beautiful and captivating environment and camp life will make you feel like the love and pleasure of lying in lap of Nature.
 

Places Surroundings to the Camp:

 

Surkhanda Devi Temple, 7 Kms

 

It is 7kms far from our base camps by road. If you are really looking for a good trek, you can add a good trekking experience of Surkanda Devi Temple instead of going by road. It is a Hindu temple situated close to the small resort hamlet of Dhanaulti in Tehri District. It is at an altitude of about 10,000 ft, 2000 ft above Dhanaulti, which itself it at quite a height above sea level. It is surrounded by dense forests and affords a scenic view of the surrounding region including the Himalayas.

Tehri Dam, 28 Kms

 

Tehri Dam is the primary dam of the Tehri Development Project, a major hydroelectric project centered near Tehri Town in the state of Uttarakhand in India. Located on the Bhagirathi River, the principal tributary of the sacred River Ganges, the Tehri Dam has a height of 855 feet (261 m), making it the 5th tallest dam in the world.

 

Dhanaulti Eco-park, 10 Kms

 

A very good destination for eco-tourists to enjoy Eco park consisting of herbal garden, treks, Himalayan view, animals and bird watching inside deodar forest, Heavy snow fall occurs during winter.

 

Mussoorie, 42 Kms

 

This hill station, situated in the foothills of the Himalaya ranges, is also known as the Queen of the Hills. Commanding snow ranges to the north-east and glittering views of the Doon Valley and Shivalik ranges in the south, the town was once said to present a fairyland atmosphere to tourists. The highest point is Lal Tibba with a height of over 7000ft.

 

Itinerary Details

 

Day 1:

 

Arrive Dhanaulti by lunch. Post lunch free to try out Air rifle shooting or the Burma bridge & Spiders web. Campfire in the evening with local entertainment. Dinner at the campsite ( Option of Veg and Non Veg foods). Overnight stay in the tents.    

 

Day 2:

 

Morning optional Pine Forest Trek(2 hrs). After breakfast embark on fun games like rock wall & Valley crossing. Buffet lunch. Post lunch free for independent activities or relax in the hammocks or enjoy Zorbing from New Zealand. Evening bonfire & Dinner. Overnight at Dhanaulti.    

 

Day 3:

 

After breakfast visit the Eco park at Dhanaulti. Later depart for Destination via Mussoorie.
