Kinnaur, the land of fairy tales and fantasies, has a spectacular terrain of lush green valleys, orchards, vineyards snow-clad peaks and cold desert mountains. The border district of Himachal Pradesh, Kinnaur is also rich in flora & fauna and its culture and language is different from other parts of the state. Kinnaur, the tribal district of Himachal Pradesh, is about 250 km away from Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh Sangla Valley is situated at an altitude of 8,900 ft and constitutes the part of district of Kinnaur. It is at a distance of 238 km from Shimla. Sangla is lies on the right bank of Baspa River, which is 17 km from Karcham.


Itinerary Details


 


Delhi- Shimla (Camp)
Early morning drive straight from Delhi airport/station to Shimla (370 km/approx 10 hours) by A/C Transport. On Arrival at campsite in the evening check in tents and have welcome drink or tea with snacks. After tea and snacks go for a small walk to explore the camp surrounding. Evening camp fire followed by dinner.    


Day 02


Shimla – Sangla Valley (Camp)
Wake up call, have tea, get freshen up and have breakfast at 7am. Post breakfast drive straight from Shimla to Sangla Valley (Kinnaur) (260 km/approx 8 hours) by A/C Transport. On Arrival at campsite in the evening check in tents and have welcome drink or tea with snacks. After tea and snacks go for a small walk to explore the camp surrounding. Evening camp fire followed by dinner.    


Day 03


Camp - Chitkul (Tibet Border)
Wake up call, tea at 7am, go for morning walk in the valley visit apple orchards, and come back to camp for breakfast by 8am. After break fast, 9.30 drive to Chitkul the last Indian village on the Tibet border & walk to Nagasti, the last civilian point, 2.5km. Come back to camp for lunch..
Post lunch go to Kamroo, visit Lord Badri Narayans Temple & Fort, Kamkya Devi Temple, the deity of which is originally brought from Assam. Come back to camp have tea & snacks. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in tents on twin sharing basis.    


Day 04


Camp - Kupa Village (trek) 
Wake up call, have tea, get freshen up and have breakfast. Post breakfast go for full day trek, from Camp to Kupa Village along the beautiful Baspa River, on the way visit trout fish farm, 8km drive. In the evening come back to camp have Tea & Snacks, have dinner. Overnight stay in tents on twin sharing basis.    


Day 05


Camp - Glacier Walk
Wake up call, have tea, get freshen up and have breakfast by 8:00 AM. Post breakfast; get ready for the Glacier Walk leave camp by 10am. On the way visit Batseri Village & Lord Bhadrinarayans temple, experience the walk on glacier; come back to camp for lunch. Post lunch free to do rope activities, tea time. Evening at leisure. Dinner followed by campfire.    


Day 06


Camp - Shimla
Wake up call, have tea, get freshen up and have breakfast. Post break fast checkout from the campsite towards Shimla Camp (approx 260km; 8 hours). Shimla is situated at an elevation of 7,500 ft above the sea level. Approx. journey is 260 km and it will take 7 to 8 hours. Arrivals at Shimla in the evening checks in tents and have welcome drinks or tea. Evening at leisure. Evening camp fire followed by dinner. Overnight stay in the tents on twin sharing basis.    


Day 07


Shimla-Kufri - Wild flower Hall - Jakhoo Hill – Naldehra - The Mall and Ridge
Early morning wake up at 6:30 am get freshen up and have breakfast. After breakfast get ready to roam around marvelous hill stations of Shimla along with our veteran guide.


Kufri & Wild flower Hall: - Kufri Famous for Apple arcade. It has a flower valley and Himalayan snow peaks are visible from here. There is a helipad near Kufri and full view of near by peaks and valleys are available.


Naldehra:- Located at a distance of 22 KM this place is famous for Golf course the biggest golf course of Asia of 9 holes par 68 golf course. Horse riding is available here.


Jakhoo Hill: - A temple of Hanuman (known as Sedhi Baba), at this place monkeys are there, this is the highest point of Shimla and one can walk up to this place. Full view of Shimla is available from here.


The Mall & Ridge: - There is a lift available to take tourist to the Mall. It will be a 15 to 30 minutes climb by steps to reach Mall from the main road. The narrow lanes with steps have shops, temples, restaurants etc in both sides. Mall is the main shopping center of Shimla and best place to hang around. This place became crowded in tourist seasons. At one end of the Mall road is the Anglican Christ Church.    


Day 08


Camp - Delhi
Wake up call, have tea, get freshen up and have breakfast. Post break fast checkout from the campsite towards Delhi airport/railway station/ISBT.
