Himachal Pradesh has always provided one of the most adventurous and enthralling experiences to all the trekkers. It houses a number of high mountain passes, gushing rivers and the peaks. One such mountain pass that is located in the Dhauladhar Range is Indrahar Pass. The pass has a close proximity with Dharamshala due to which it is very popular. One of the diverse offerings of the range is the Indrahar Pass trek.

Highlights of the Trek

The trek originates from McLeodganj that is situated in the Kangra valley. It will pass over the stunning Dhauladhar range that is snowbound. The trek will end at Chamba and will showcase the beautiful Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar mountain ranges. The difficulty level of the path is moderate and will cover the green pastures, Rhododendron and the dense Deodar forests.

Breathtaking Views

The trek offers many breathtaking and spectacular views to the trekkers. While trekking, the trekkers get an amazing view of the sacred Mani Mahesh Kailash and the Pir Panjal Range to the north that is snow covered. The Indian plains which are situated towards the south of the beautiful trek offer a mesmerising view to the trekkers trekking at Indrahar.

While moving ahead on the trek, the trekkers experience a trail that passes through the Hindu temples and the villages that are located in the Ravi Valley. By trekking on the route, an individual is offered an awesome adventurous experience which is totally different from the mundane city life. This is due to the fact that the trek requires the trekkers to climb over the boulders.

Must Try It Once

The trek is a quite a steady climb; however, it turns into a steady one through the Himalayan region. While trekking here, the trekkers get to experience the rich wildlife of the region, which includes wild goats, leopard etc. This will be a refreshing experience for an individual. The best time to visit the trek is from mid of May to June and from September to mid of October.
