Day-Wise Schedule
Day 1
- Pune- Bagdogra - Phuentsholing.
- Pick up from Bagdogra Airport. Transfer to Phuentsholing Hotel.
- Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Day 2
- After breakfast check-out from hotel, complete immigration formalities and transfer to Thimphu. Before check-in at hotel visit Memorial Chorten.
- Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 3
- Thimphu local sightseeing.
- After breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing tour of Thimphu, which includes the following places of interest:
> Folk Heritage Museum
> Trashichhodzong – Fortress in Thimphu
> Memorial Chorten
> Kuensel Phodrang – World’s Largest Sitting Buddha Statue
> BBS Tower – Provides a vantage point view of the Thimphu Valley.
- Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 4
- Thimphu transfer to Punakha including Punakha sightseeing.
- After breakfast check-out form hotel and proceeds for Punakha, toward Punakha (Total 5 hours driving time). Enroute, halt at Dochu La - A mountain pass leading further into the Punakha Valley. It offers a stunning 360 degree panoramic view of Eastern Himalayan mountain ranges. The view is especially scenic on clear, winter days with snow-capped mountains forming a majestic backdrop to the tranquillity of the 108 chortens gracing the mountain pass. Enjoy lunch at newly open restaurant Druk Wangyel Café. Before check-in at hotel visit the following places of interest:
> Chimi Lhakang
> Punakha Dzong
> Suspension Bridge
- Overnight stay in Punakha
Day 5
- Punakha transfer to Paro including Paro local sightseeing.
- After breakfast check-out from hotel and transfer to Paro. The Paro valley extends from the confluence of the Paro Chhu and the Wang Chhu rivers at Chuzom upto Mt. Jomolhari at the Tibetan border to the North. This picturesque region is one of the widest valleys in the kingdom and is covered in fertile rice fields and has a beautiful, crystalline river meandering down the valley. After checking into your hotel, you would proceed for a sightseeing tour of Paro which would include the following place
> Rinpun Dzong
> Kichu Lhakang – Famous Monastery in Paro
> Ta Dzong – National Museum of Bhutan
Day 6
- After breakfast proceed to visit Takstang Monastery (Tiger Nest).
Day 7
- Paro transfer to Lataguri.
- After breakfast check-out from Paro hotel and transfer to Lataguri. After check-in at hotel rest of the evening free for leisure.
- Overnight stay in Lataguri.
Day 8
Check-out from hotel and drop at Bagdogra.
