Mountain Biking Event Has Been Organized Amidst The Picturesque Landscapes Of Uttarakhand on 8th of April

Himalayan MTB championship, the premier biking event of Uttarakhand will hit the streets on April 8. Fifty cyclists from 10-15 counties are likely to participate in the competition which will start from Nainital. It is organized with the purpose to promote the hill state as an adventure tourist place.

The competition will cover the distance of 884 kilometers starting from Nainital, and passing through the picturesque terrain of Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Karnprayag, Guptapakashi, Tehri and Chinyalisaur, the competition journey will cover the distance of 884 kilometers.

The competition will conclude in Mussoorie on April 16. A day before the main event, a qualifying race will be held in Nainital. As per the press release from the promoters of the event, the cyclists who meet the strict regime of  fitness standards will be selected for the race.

Infrastructure Director, Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board, R K Joshi said, “Jointly organized by the Cycling Federation of India and the state Tourism department, this is the third edition of the event, which will not only boost adventure tourism in the state, but also spread the message of a 'safe Uttarakhand' in the country and abroad.”
