DAY 01:            Early arrival Pathankot &  drive to Dharamsala- a Tibetan settlement, where HH The Dalai Lama lives, is about 90 Kms from Pathankot railway station and takes between 2-3 hours time to reach.
After spending some time in your hotel, a sightseeing of Mc Leaodganj is arranged exploring the residence of The Dalai Lama, Namgyal Monastery, Tibetan Parliament, Tibetan Medical Centre, Tibetan Library, Tibetan Children Village and Handicraft Center. 

 

DAY 02:         Dharamsala to Bathad Drive: Morning after breakfast, visit Norbulinga Institute and further drive to Kullu Valley, about 230 Kms and reaching a peaceful campsite of Bathad in Great Himalayan National Park. This is the beginning point of your trekking, situated at the banks of a river which is the popular point of Trout Fish.

 

DAY 03:           Bathad to Bashleo Pass (3270 M) trekking: This pass divides Beas and Sutlej valleys.  The panoramic view on both sides is breathtaking. Trekking journey begins from Bathad. Following the steep trail, you ascend up to Bashleo Pass. After few ascents, the trail eases and becomes more pleasurable. Upon reaching at an altitude of 3270 m, you camp at a beautiful site savoring the majestic beauty of Bashleo Pass.

 

DAY 04:           Bashleo Pass to Kullu Sarahan: From the campsite at Bashleo Pass, the Kullu Sarahan distance would be about 6 Kms, and it is complete descend till Kullu Sarahan. Kullu Sarahan offers a beautiful lush green valley to camp and relax in the middle of snow covered hills of Shrikhand Mountain Ranges.

 

DAY 05:           Trek to BAGI Pul (Bridge) -7 Kms, and drive to Sarahan: Morning we leave for Bagi Pul from the camp, which would take about 2 hours. We will find here the cars waiting for us to drive to Sarahan through Rampur in next 3 hours. Sarahan is the place of Goddess Bhimakal and a wonderful temple dedicated to the Goddess.  It is believed that the country of Kinnaur was the place Kailash – the home of Shiva as per the Puranas. Today, the then Sonitpur is known as Sarahan. Overnight at hotel and visit to the temple which is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas.

 

DAY 06:          Sarahan to Kalpa drive- 110 Kms: We drive once again on the old Hindustan – Tibet road and enter into the Kinnaur valley. The places in between Jeori to Rekang Peo, which is the headquarter of Kinnaur and situated just at the base of Kalpa, is majorly used for the hydro electricity projects. Kalpa is an ancient center of trade, religious activities and governance of British in India before independence. It is situated at the height of 2758 m above the sea level and the prime village of Kinnaur. 

 

DAY 07:           Kalpa to Thangi (2966 Meters) by road- 2 hours: We visit Kalpa temple in the morning, no need to say that getting early and watching the facing Kinner Kailash peaks from your hotel windows would be highly rewarding. Some time is to spend for acquiring our permits from the ITBP post, as the place is under control of Indo Tibetan Boarder Police. Reach to the campsite in the evening.

 

DAY 08:           Thangi to Lambar (2890 Meters) - 4 hours trek: We trek deep in the Tirung Valley of Kinnaur. The trail gradually ascends to village Lambar which is a small village with ITBP check post. Overnight at our camp.

 

DAY 09:           Lambar to Shurting (3150 Meters): After breakfast, you move along the trail that passes by Tirung Valley and a narrow gorge. After a while the trail encounters more gorge, boulder-strewn route, riverside and cliffs. Leaving behind the pine forests, the trail enters lush forests of juniper and wild roses. As you near Shrurting, you can witness rich meadows. Charang villages and Gompa are the major attractions of Kinnaur region. 

 

DAY 10:           Shurting to Charang (3506 Meters): Shurting is a small high land and here meets two river streams forming Lambar River. We leave the campsite and start trekking towards Charang Ghati or valley. The total distance is about 12 Kms and we reach tom our campsite in about 5 hours time.

 

DAY 11:           Charang to Lalanti (4420 meters): Soon after breakfast, you ascend up the valley, cross the Lalanti River and enter lush meadows. The trail further narrows as it follows steep ascents. You meanders past large meadow and rich grazing pastures and finally arrive in Lalanti at an elevation of 4200 m. You camp for the night at an amazing campsite that overlooks mesmerizing view of Zanskar range and glaciated undulating passes.

 

DAY 12:           Lalanti to Chitkul via Charang La (5260 meters) and drive to Sangla: The trek of this day is very challenging which needs good physical exercise and about 8-9 hours to accomplish. Beginning of the trek that crosses rich pastures and scree slopes. The trail wends way to glacial lake, moraine fields and rock cairns. It normally takes six hours to reach Charang La from Lalanti where about 200 meters at the last stretch is a steep climb. 

 

DAY 13:           Sangla full day excursions: a beautiful valley to relax after strenuous trek. If a landscape had the powers of casting spells, then the Sangla valley would be a magician extraordinary. Once seen, it is a place that can never be forgotten. Even the rushing waters of the Baspa River, that flow through its 95 km length, seem to absorb some of the magic and slow down to savor its snow-frame beauty. 2 km from Sangla is the fort of Kamroo (300 m) its tower like architecture resembles that of the Bhimakali complex and this was the origin of rulers of Bushehr.

 

DAY 14:           Drive to Shimla (220 Kms) through Rampur and Narkanda on Old Hindustan Tibet Road.

 

DAY 15:          Full day sightseeing of Shimla and evening train to Delhi from Kalka.
