ITINERARY

 

After 26 km, 5 days up trek from South of Manali, on an altitude of 14,500 ft/ 4268m you will get an amazing view of Snowy Inderkila, DeoTibba(6001m) and Indersan (6220m) HAMPTA PASS - A perfect destination for amateurs who are looking for High altitude trek

 

Day 1  -  Evening, departure from Delhi by Bus from reporting place. Delhi is the meetup point for this event

 

Day 2 -- Morning, Reach Manali, Checkin at Hotel Your acclimatization to high altitude starts from this day. We wont restrict you from anything, but do keep a limit. There are so many tourist spots, temples, monasteries in Kullu Manali and near by places. Also for hard core adventure activities options are many here.

 

Day 3 – - Manali to Hamta Village 6 hrs. Trek This is the day you have been waiting for trek to High Altitude. Jeeps to Prini village through few hairpins & bends, Starting point of trek, 3 km, south of up hike for 3 hrs. Arrive at Hamta village/Sethan Village, 1 hr hike through alphine forest to the campsite of Panduropa..Overnight stay in camp.

 

Day 4 – - Chikka(3000M) 6hrs. trek After breakfast hike through thick forest area with abundance of flowers. 2 hrs trail to Chikka by crossing Hamta stream through a thin wooden bridge at short distance. At Chikka you enjoy the refreshing river, waterfalls and grassy land. 2 hrs hike arrive at the campsite of Jwara, its one of the beautiful campsite sorrounded by lush green snowy mountains.(not as in winter still you can find snows upon)

 

Day 5 –- BalukaGhera(3400M) to Hampta Pass(4268M) 6 hrs.trek Another 1 hr gradual climb trail to BalukaGhera. Baluka Gera is known for wild flowers, rocks and caves, the view of Tokru Shakru peak, coloured mountains, Nani lake with icy cold water makes you refreshed. A further 2 hrs trail takes to Hamta pass. From Hampta pass fantastic view of Inderkila, DeoTibba (6001m) and Indersan (6220m). Spend some time on the pass, relax enjoy the nature and then start the trek back to BalukaGhera. Overnight stay in a camp.


Day 6 - – BalukGhera(3400M) to JobriNalla 3hrs. trek(3100M). After breakfast start the descend to the JobriNalla. The camp is close to road head but worth camping here as it would give an opportunity to explore the surrounding area. Post lunch take a short hike to nearby by hill in the east of the camp. From this point the very famous Pyangniru meadow and source of the stream Jobri are visible. Return camp by evening. Overnight stay in camp.

 

Day 7- - JobriNalla - Prini (4 hrs. trek) - Manali After breakfast trek towards the Village of Sethan. Enroute to PanduRopa and Nag Temple. And then a steep descend will take us to the village of Prini. This is the end point of trekking. The jeeps will take us back to hotels.

 

Day 8 –– Freeday in Manali We wont force you for any adrenaline activities, but our assistants & guide will be always there. We wont restrict you from anything, but do keep a limit. There are many adventure activities in Manali like River Rafting, River crossing, zipline & many. Paragliding in Solang Valley is a must try, non of the enthusiasts will miss the glide)

 

Day 9 –– Reach Delhi in the morning

 

Things to Bring:-

  • 50 - 65 ltr backpack with sturdy strap and supporting frames. Light weight recommended.
  • Trekking Shoes – sport shoes are not allowed. Quechua, Wildcraft, Woodland are the best brands available in India even you can check with CAT & Timberland
  • Atleast 3 track pants (at least one should be synthetic (quick-dry) kind). Track pants are light and we highly endorse them. Plus when things get cold you can wear one over the other.
  • 2 Full sleeve light sweaters or 2 fleece jackets
  • 1 pair of thermal inners (useful when we are on snow) but optional.
  • 3-4 pair of usual sports socks, at least one woolen pair.Woolen socks are to be worn inside the tent at night to keep the feet warm.
  • Sun cap and/or head-scarf.
  • Trekking pole is mandatory.
  • Rain Coats
  • Hand Gloves
  • Sunglasses – are manadatory for this trek.
  • Woolen monkey cap/balaclava
  • Cold cream & sun screen lotion (SPF 40+). While sun screen help prevent sun burns, a better option is to stay covered.
  • Toilet kit
  • 2 Water bottles (1 L each). Do not get any packaged water bottle like Bisleri, Aquafina and others.
  • Carry a plate, spoon and coffee mug.
  • Torch with 2 extra set of cells. Buy LED torches. They last longer, are more durable and give good light.
  • Personal Toilet kit


Medical Kit can be shared by 2-3 memebers, should contain following:-

 

  • Crocin - 5 tablets
  • Avomine - 4 tablets
  • Avil 25mg - 4 tablets
  • Diamox - 8 tablets
  • Brufen 400 - 5 tablets
  • Combiflam - 5 tablets
  • Disprin - 10 tablets
  • Norflox - 10 tablets
  • Crepe bandage - 3 to 5 meters
  • Band aid - 10 strips
  • Digene - 10 tablets
  • Gauze cloth - 1 small role
  • Leukoplast - 1 small roll
  • Cotton - 1 small roll
  • ORS - 5 packets
  • Betadine cream
  • Moov spray

 

  • Some trekkers feel loss of energy more than others. While there is adequate food provided on the trek, carry lots of dry fruit combinations as snacks.

 

  • While packing, use plastic bags to compartmentalize things and carry few extra plastic bags.

 

  • Sandals ( For walking around campsite)

 

Other Condition :- 


Booking has to be confirmed atleast by July 10th with 75% advance payment. 25% cancellation charges will be applied if you are cancelling in between. We expect every Adventurer to be humble towards Nature, localities and tribal. 


All our events are built on Teamwork methodology. Our instructor/Guide/coordinators presence in the event is to lead the event, make sure that things are going as per plan, schedule, and safety. 


In case of circumstance out of our control like, natural calamities, law and order situation, etc, may result in change in iternary, additional booking of accomdation, transport, logistics, etc., causing an increase in expenses. The additional cost thus incurred shall be borne by the participant.
