Trek to Rajmachi Fort on 8th to 9th  july 2017

About Rajmachi -

Rajmachi village is located in the Lonavala region. It has got access routes via Lonavala and karjat. Karjat route offers an ancient cave named as Kondhane caves enroute the trek. The village of Udhewadi lies on the massive plateau that greets one on getting to Rajmachi. Rajmachi fort is a strategic fort overlooking Borghat which was a historical trade route. Rajmachi peak has two fortified structures - the Shrivardhan fort and Manoranjan fort.

A little distance down from the base village lies a serene and beautiful lake called Uday Sagar lake. Behind the lake lies an ancient Monilith, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Activities Iternary-

Day 1 –

9:15 Am -  Meeting Point – Lonavla Station

2.00 Pm -  Reach rajmachi base village  

3.00 Pm -  We have to ascend Manoranjan fort &explore it

6:00 pm -   Return to base

9.00pm -   Dinner Time  

6.30 am -  Wake up call

Day 2 -

7:30 am -  We have to ascend shri wardhan fort & explore it

11.00 am -  Return to base & have lunch

12.15 pm -  Start descending via karjat route to konivade village

3:30 pm -  Visit kondane caves 

5.30 pm -   Reach karjat Station

Things to be Carried:

  • 2 liters of water (Must)
  • Full sleeve T-shirts and full pant. For girls full neck t-shirt.(Must)
  • Good trekking shoes, extra pair of socks (Must)
  • Towel, a napkin, Extra Pair of clothes Covered in polythene bags
  • Camera, Cap etc. (Optional)
  • Electrolyte packets as energy drinks (optional)
  • Carry eatable like fruits, dry fruits to munch on during trek
  • A haversack to put in all the things.
  • Good to have stick for support.
  • Carry 3-4 extra carry bags.
  • Shawl or bedshit
  • Odomos
  • Torch (Must)

Note –

  • Wrap all things (especially camera & cell phone) in polythene bags.
  • Please avoid bringing valuables, jewelries or expensive things. As the Organizers will not be responsible for its loss or damage.
  • No shortcut in treks or other activities.
  • Smoking, Chewing tobacco, or Gutka or Pan Masala, Drugs & Alcohol Drinking are strictly prohibited during the trek.
  • Keep the campsite neat & clean, we are expecting participants Co-operation in Keeping the Forts as well as the surrounding area clean. Garbage should not be Littered it should be put in dustbin.
