Reach our parking base at Bison Valley . Trek to the campsite through spice gardens and planters village. Break at campsite a top grasshill. Continue the trek with packed lunch to climax point at Shiva’s Head. Return to campsite by evening. Sunset view. The campsite is located in west side of West Ridge Mountain overlooking Sun-moon valley, facilitating sunset and sunrise view. Campfire dinner.
The campsite is well equipped with kitchen block, 3 modern toilets, dining area, campfire area etc.

Wake up to the call of birds. Have a fresh cup of tea watching sunrise. After breakfast prepare for a walk to the forest and descending trek to Pothamedu tea plantation road. Your vehicle can catch up you from Head works dam by noon
About the peak
West Ridge is the mountain ranges encircling Munnar pleteau. The peak is also called Chokkanmudi – or Shiva’s head. The peak point is at 2125MSL. Usually people trek to the peak from the east side , which is quite a medium level of trek. you can reach the summit from our camp in the west side at 1500MSL to 2385MSL through tough terrain of grassland, shola forest and gorges.
What we provides: Tent, Sleeping bag, food as mentioned, sufficient boiled drinking water, mat etc. There are toilets in the campsite. There is one rescue shelter near the campsite for immediate shifting incase of heavy rain, with all facilities, guide service, etc.
What you have to bring: Good shoes with grip, cotton cloths for trekking, woolen cloths advisable for night, things for personal requirements, a small bag to carry things while walking, sunscreen lotion during hike.
