Rappelling and day trekking in Skandagiri
This vacations, take experience of adventure like never before. Go for an amazing Skandagiri rappelling and trekking experience with your family and friends! Skandagiri is also famously known as Kalwarbetta or Kalavara Durga. It is about 70 km from Bangalore and about 3kms from Chikballapura. This place is quite close to the popular Nandi hills and the hill peak is about 1350 m. It features wonderful night trek for the people who love rustic outdoors. In case you love the stunning sunrise, altitude camping, and the serene oceans like clouds, you should head for the Skandagiri day trek and rappelling experience now! The ramshackle walls of the Tipu’s fort can be found on the Kalwarbetta steep, near Kalwara village. This is a tame and balanced trek of about 6 kms (one side) till rappelling point as the hill is high and precipitous. The trek begins from Papagni temple at the Kalwara village foothills. The fortress of the Kalwarbetta is in complete sight around the walk uphill. This fantastic and steep trek through a maze of the dense shrub is very intriguing for the hardcore adventure lovers.
There are 2 caves , one begins from the base and according to the locals, it leads to the temple at the peak. The other one is somewhere in the midway which is around 30 ft. only.
